|RTN Vendor Advisory Council Information & Nominations|
What is the mission of RTN's Vendor Advisory Council?
Comprised of technology company members, the Vendor Advisory Council (VAC) acts as the voice of RTN’s vendor community, ensuring we address issues most relevant to our members. RTN Vendor Advisory Council members help drive recruitment for workgroups and provide insight to enhance membership benefits. The Vendor Advisory Council is committed to evangelizing RTN's mission, acting as consultants to RTN leadership and its Board of Governors, offering input, feedback and guidance strategically aligned to advance the industry forward.
How is RTN's Vendor Advisory Council Selected?
The VAC is open to individuals who are licensed to participate in RTN via their employers' RTN Supplier Membership. RTN Platinum Supplier Member Companies in good standing receive one VAC seat with RTN membership. All other RTN Supplier members are eligible to nominate individuals for the Vendor Advisory Council. RTN's supplier membership base votes on the nominations to determine the makeup of the VAC. Only one individual per Supplier Member Company may serve on the VAC.
What are the terms of service for RTN's Vendor Advisory Council?
VAC members serve a one-year term, and may serve a second one-year term for up to two consecutive years. After that time, individuals must take at least one year off from the VAC before running again for the VAC. RTN reserves the right to suspend or remove individuals from the VAC at any time, at any membership level, for violation of RTN membership terms & conditions, for actions not in accordance with the RTN Code of Conduct, or for actions that are not aligned with the RTN Mission Statement.
Who Should We Nominate for RTN's Vendor Advisory Council?
The Vendor Advisory Council doesn't necessarily require a highly technical executive; we recommend you appoint a non-sales role, someone with direct ties to the strategic direction of your hospitality business (this may or may not be a highly technical role). The executive who owns business strategy for this market segment, or a practice / product lead in the restaurant line of business would be a great fit.
