Mark Cline, SVP Sales, Netsurion

Describe your work philosophy in one sentence.

We provide network security, compliance solutions and connectivity to small business owners who do not have the time, knowledge, or skill set to secure their business.

What unique problem does your company solve for restaurants?

Security and Connectivity. Netsurion provides an all-in-one hardware firewall solution with onboard Wi-Fi and Cellular Failover to keep the restaurant secure and provide a constant connection to run their business.

Why did your company join RTN?

We joined RTN to network with industry professionals and join an open communication channel to vendors and restaurant owners.

What's your favorite personal past-time?

I'm a universal sports fan. I'll watch and attend any sporting event and am usually watching anything with a game 7.

What's your favorite restaurant?

Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

What three words would you use to describe what's happening in the restaurant industry right now?

Adapt and Overcome.

What's your most-used restaurant app?

Starbucks order pick up. Very convenient and saves me from standing in line.

Restaurateur you most admire & why.

Any small business restaurant owner. I'm still amazed at how much work goes into running a restaurant of any kind. I really admire the mom & pop style restaurants and how their sole focus is walking in everyday to service their customers to the best of their ability.

What technology are you most excited about for the future of restaurants?

To-go order technology. Pre-COVID, most restaurants had a To-go strategy but the majority were lacking. I hope to see this trend continue and make pick-up and to-go orders a larger part of the restaurant business.
