What unique problem does your company solve for restaurants?

OneDine is the single platform that solves all of the restaurant industry’s commerce needs, using handheld devices and mobile interfaces to augment service and staffing and utilizing a brand's existing infrastructure to help them achieve their labor, cost, and guest satisfaction goals.

Why did your company join RTN?

There's a lot of value in networking with like-minded people that are also trying to tackling the industry's challenges. We also love the events and promotional opportunities that are made available to us as members.

What’s your favorite personal pastime?

Traveling with my family and buying cars!

What three words would you use to describe what’s happening in the restaurant industry right now?

Innovation, Transformation, Customization

What’s your most-used restaurant app?

A reservation/waitlist app like OpenTable, and Yelp!

Restaurateur you most admire and why?

Chad Houser for his work at Cafe Momentum. Cafe Momentum provides a transformative experience for justice-involved youth. Their 12-month, paid interns rotate through all aspects of the restaurant, focusing on life and social skills, coaching and development. It's an amazing program that is having a positive impact on many young people, while serving chef-inspired food in a great environment.

What technology are you most excited about for the future of restaurants?

I'm excited to see how the customer journey will be increasingly defined by preferences. Technology supporting hybrid dining solutions allows the guest to decide how they want to experience their favorite brands. The decision tree no longer needs to start with how much time they have to eat, but can begin with the guest knowing what they want and how they want it.
