Shape the Future of AI: Join the RTN AI Data Standards Workgroup!
BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BUILD ANYTHING GREAT ON A BAD FOUNDATION
Every AI initiative, analytics project, and digital transformation effort your brand is planning right now runs on data. If that data is messy, inconsistent, or ungoverned, none of it will perform the way you need it to.
Data standardization and governance isn't glamorous—it doesn't make headlines the way a new AI feature does. But it is the ultimate building block for everything else, and the longer you wait to address it, the more expensive and painful it becomes.
This workgroup is for operators who are ready to stop treating data governance as an IT problem and start treating it as a core business strategy. Together, we will tackle the hard questions:
- How do you build a governance framework that scales?
- How do you move fast with AI without creating unnecessary risk?
- How do you get the CEO and board aligned without letting quick-win thinking derail long-term progress?
Don't chase perfection at the expense of progress—you have to start somewhere, and this is the place to start. Join us, and let's lay the foundation the entire industry can build on!

WHAT ARE RTN WORKGROUPS?
RTN Workgroups are collaborative, hands-on working groups built to tackle the restaurant industry's toughest technical challenges and create open technology standards. Designed with a focus on real, action-oriented solutions—less talking, more building—participants work side by side to develop universal frameworks, API specs, and best practices that eliminate friction across the entire tech ecosystem.
While these virtual 1-hour sessions run bi-weekly over a 6 to 12-month lifecycle, the ultimate goal is simple: publish an official industry deliverable, standard, or tool.
Every published output features permanent "Key Contributor Badges" to credit participants for their leadership—and those honored as Key Contributors are invited to take the stage and speak when RTN rolls out the final deliverable to the broader industry.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Participation is open to ALL restaurant operators—no RTN membership is required! However, to protect the candid, sensitive nature of our operator discussions, technology and solution providers must be active RTN Members to attend.
